Plastic extrusion is a process of manufacturing continuous plastic products in which molten plastic is forced through a die to form a desired shape.
The process begins with feeding plastic granulate or plastic melt into an extrusion system. The plastic is then heated and melted in a screw or plunger. The rotation of the screw or the forward movement of the plunger forces the molten plastic through a nozzle, which determines the shape of the desired end product.
